1 INTRODUCTION

Killerwhales Swim Club of Havering is committed to providing opportunities for all swimmers, and will endeavour to give everyone the opportunity to be active and fulfilled members, whether or not they have a disability.  This policy sets out our commitment.

2 POLICY DETAIL:
 

· The Club will work closely with pool managers to ensure that suitable facilities are available for swimmers with disabilities

· The Club has a policy of integrating swimmers with disabilities into the existing structure wherever possible.

· Where we cannot provide a suitable environment and this cannot easily be resolved, we will work with local and

   regional organisations to find more appropriate facilities. These include clubs that operate solely or run separate

  sessions for swimmers with disabilities

· The Club encourages its coaches and teachers to attend recognised courses to help them gain the appropriate

   skills and recognise the needs of people with disabilities

 

 

3 MONITORING AND REVIEW

We will review the operation and outcomes of this policy at least every 24 months
